Team & Governance · 04 of 05

Operators first. Structure second. Nothing skipped in between.

ONNVO is being built by a small operating team with backgrounds spanning Dubai real estate transactions, fintech product, and regulatory compliance. We'd rather tell you who we are directly than send a written profile — see the note at the bottom of this page.

How We Work

A regulated platform is a governance problem before it's a product problem. We built the policy stack alongside the roadmap, not after it.

Every phase of the roadmap has a named compliance deliverable attached to it — an MLRO and Compliance Officer are appointed at incorporation, not once the platform has traction. The team's approach is to gate features behind the permission that covers them, rather than launch first and seek forgiveness.

That discipline is slower than some regional competitors moving on lighter legal ground. We think it's the reason ONNVO is still standing when that category consolidates.

Origin

The idea came from watching capital want in, and hitting a wall built out of paperwork. Not out of risk.

The founding team's backgrounds sit at the intersection of Dubai property transactions and fintech product — close enough to the deal flow to see how much foreign and diaspora capital wanted exposure to Dubai real estate, and close enough to the compliance side to see exactly why most of it never found a compliant, digital way in. Existing fractional platforms proved the appetite was real. What was missing was a platform built to source supply two ways instead of one, and to treat digital-currency rails as core infrastructure instead of an afterthought bolted on after launch.

We're not naming individuals yet — see the note at the bottom of this page for why — but the team is small, operating, and building the compliance stack alongside the product from day one, not after traction forces the issue.

Organization Register — Functional Roles

Four functions, built in from the start.

ONNVO is small by design at this stage. Rather than a headcount chart, here's what each function owns.

FN — 01

Real estate & underwriting

Sourcing, valuation, tenant and covenant assessment, and the owner-staking intake process.

FN — 02

Product & engineering

The investor app, owner portal, eKYC, and payment rails — built cross-platform from a single codebase.

FN — 03

Compliance & legal

The DIFC-to-DFSA licensing pathway, the policy suite, and every disclosure an SPV publishes before it lists.

FN — 04

Growth & partnerships

Broker and wealth-manager distribution, and the education-led content that has to stand in for open solicitation until authorization is live.

Policy Register — Compliance Stack

The controls a regulator expects to see, built in from incorporation.

POL — 01

AML/CFT & sanctions

Anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, and sanctions screening framework, with PEP checks on onboarding.

POL — 02

KYC/KYB

Risk-based identity and business verification with ongoing monitoring, not a one-time check at signup.

POL — 03

Client assets

Segregation policy for client money and assets, with no commingling and no client-money handling before authorization.

POL — 04

Financial promotions

Education-led public content; detailed offers presented only inside a member-only, registered environment.

POL — 05

Conflicts & related parties

Documented conflicts policy, especially for owner-staked assets where valuation independence matters most.

POL — 06

Disclosures

Standardized key information documents on every listing, with consistent risk warnings across the platform.

POL — 07

Complaints handling

A defined process and escalation path for investor complaints and customer communications.

POL — 08

Outsourcing & vendor risk

Due diligence and ongoing oversight of any third party the platform relies on, including any virtual-asset service providers.

POL — 09

Data protection

Registered under DIFC Data Protection from incorporation, with retention schedules and access controls defined upfront.

Legal Structure

One HoldCo. One SPV per property.

ONNVO's operating entity is a DIFC Private Company Limited by Shares, holding the platform's IP and technology. It does not hold any property directly. Every asset — acquired or staked — sits in its own dedicated SPV beneath it, each with its own bank account, share register, and audited records, so an issue with one asset never touches another, or the platform itself.

Advisors & Partners

Being formalized alongside incorporation.

ONNVO is building advisory and distribution relationships with brokers, wealth managers, and DIFC-experienced counsel in parallel with the licensing process, rather than presenting a finished list before either exists. Specifics are shared as they're confirmed.
